Care instruction Merino wool
How to care for Merino wool clothing
Merino wool is the true all-rounder of materials: It cools bodies when temperatures are warm and warms them when it’s cold outside. It doesn’t scratch, doesn’t stink, and it’s easy to take care of – as long as you follow a few guidelines for laundering it. We’ll tell you everything you need to know!
How to wash your Merino clothing
- Wash on the delicate cycle (cool or cold setting) to prevent shrinkage and felting
- Wash similar colors together
- Use mild liquid detergent for delicates (no fabric softener)
- Turn clothes inside-out before washing
- Pro tip: Use a mesh laundry bag to protect the clothing from sharp zippers, etc.
How to dry Merino clothing
- Merino clothing can air dry easily on a clothesline or drying rack
- Pro tip: If you lay the clothes flat, they’ll retain their shape and won’t stretch
- Important: Do not tumble dry, set on a heater, or dry in the sun (that makes the wool hard and scratchy)

Why Merino wool?
We think Merino wool is simply amazing! It’s especially wonderful for our kids because it has a few absolutely essential qualities: When kids run riot and get sweaty, breathable Merino wool dries in a flash and doesn’t ever feel damp or clammy, even during a break from the action.
Clothing made from Merino wool doesn’t need to be washed as frequently as other clothing because it doesn’t get stinky. Sometimes it’s even enough to air the clothes out overnight, and then they’re ready for action again the next day. On vacation and no washing machine in sight? You can simply wash Merino clothing in the sink with mild shampoo.
We would like to leave a beautiful, colorful world behind for our children. That’s why we love renewable raw materials like Merino wool, which do not require crude oil to produce. We only use mulesing-free merino wool for our garments to ensure animal welfare.
